How To Install a Solar Fence System
The Ground Screw Foundation Solar Fence System is our newly designed PV racking system, which is tailored for large-scale solar installations. This innovative setup integrates pre-assembled components, specific load-bearing beams, and rails to ensure stability and streamline the installation process. Ideal for large ground-based solar projects, the system minimizes installation time and costs with its efficient and user-friendly features.

Installation Steps
1. Install Ground Screw Foundations
First, prepare all necessary tools and mark the positions for each ground screw based on the ground screw spacing (L) specified in the construction drawing. Ensuring that all ground screws are aligned horizontally and vertically will help provide a stable base for your solar electric fence.
2. Install Post and Connector Bar
2.1. Start by securing the first post at the concrete base, using anchor bolts and M12x40mm bolts. This will be the primary structural support for the solar fence system.
2.2. Insert the connector bar between two posts and secure it with M8x80mm bolts. Then, position the second post, ensuring alignment with the L-angles toward the solar panel electric fence side.
2.3. Continue adding vertical posts and connector bars in sequence. Make adjustments as per the construction drawing to ensure uniformity, providing a smooth surface for wall mounts for solar panels.
3. Install the Solar Panels
Attach the wall mounted solar panels to the connector bars using M8x20mm bolts. Make sure all panels are aligned securely to withstand outdoor conditions. This step is essential for maintaining the stability of the solar panel electric fence system.
Installation Notes
1. Dimensions
Follow all dimensions outlined in the construction drawing. This guide is for descriptive purposes only and should be used in conjunction with your project-specific documentation.
2. Stainless Steel Fasteners
Stainless steel fasteners require careful handling due to their ductility. Improper use can lead to a phenomenon called “lock-up” or “deadlock,” making it impossible to unscrew the bolt and nut. To avoid this, follow these guidelines:
2.1. Reduce Friction
- Ensure the surface of the threads is clean and free of dust or debris.
- Apply a lubricant, such as water wax or machine oil (like 40# machine oil), to reduce friction during installation.
2.2. Correct Installation Method
- The bolt should be aligned perpendicular to the thread axis when tightening.
- Tighten the bolt evenly and avoid exceeding the recommended torque.
- Use a torque wrench or socket spanner, and avoid using a monkey wrench or electric wrench. If using an electric wrench, adjust the rotational speed to the lowest setting to prevent overheating, which can cause lock-up.
- Avoid rapid rotations that increase temperature, especially when using electric wrenches.
