How to Install a Solar Powered Fence Wall?
In our previous article, we introduced the Ground Screw Foundation Solar Wall Mounting System, a solar racking solution with high-quality components, minimal accessories, and pre-assembled parts for efficient, cost-effective installation. Now, let’s explore the Concrete Foundation Solar Wall Mounting System as a practical and durable alternative for installing a solar powered fence.

Installation Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Concrete Foundations
Before starting, gather all necessary tools and materials. Mark each concrete block position based on the specified measurements in the construction drawings, ensuring blocks align horizontally and vertically. For secure anchoring, pre-drill anchor bolt holes and embed the anchor bolts. This creates a stable base for the solar panel fence posts, which should all be aligned in the same direction and parallel to the panel surface.
Step 2: Install the Posts and Connector Bar
Install the First Post: Position the first post on the initial concrete base and secure it using an anchor bolt and an M12x40mm bolt.
Attach the Connector Bar: Insert the connector bar between two posts, securing it with M8x80mm bolts. Next, install the second post on the concrete base, aligning the L-angles toward the panel side to ensure an even mounting for the solar power fence.
Align and Adjust: Continue installing the posts and connector bars in this sequence, following the measurements on the construction drawings to maintain uniform spacing and alignment.
Step 3: Attach the Solar Panels
Secure each solar panel onto the connector bar using M8x20mm bolts. This forms the main structure of the fence solar installation, allowing solar panels to capture optimal sunlight while integrated with the fence.
Installation Tips
Measurement Accuracy: Follow the construction drawings for all dimensions, as this guide is a general overview.
Proper Handling of Stainless Steel Fasteners: Stainless steel has excellent ductility but differs from carbon steel. To prevent “lock-up” or “deadlock” between bolts and nuts, follow these tips.
- Reduce Friction:
- Keep threads clean, and apply a lubricant like butter or 40# machine oil.
- Use Proper Technique:
- Keep the bolt perpendicular when screwing in.
- Apply force evenly and stay within specified torque values.
- Use torque or socket wrenches instead of monkey wrenches or electric wrenches. If using an electric wrench, maintain low speeds to avoid overheating.
